It's no secret that the restaurant and foodservice industry is growing. In fact, it is estimated that from 2007 to 2017 the number of jobs in the restaurant and foodservice industry is projected to increase by 2 million— approximately 47,000 of which will be management positions.

The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) is dedicated to helping the industry meet these needs to ensure that the restaurant and foodservice industry remains the cornerstone of career-and-employment opportunities. Nine years strong, the ProStart program is a career-building program that gives high school students a taste for success in an industry that is hungry for talent. A program designed on blending both classroom learning and work experience will produce the future leaders of tomorrow.
